Bald Eagle Rescued After Encounter with Pigs in New Mexico
A bald eagle was rescued from a pig pen in Gila, New Mexico, after it was likely attacked by adult pigs while attempting to catch a piglet. New Mexico Game and Fish officials intervened when they found the eagle unable to fly, although it suffered no broken bones, just bruises and shock. The Gila Wildlife Rescue is currently caring for the eagle, which will remain under observation until it fully recovers. This incident highlights the challenges wildlife face in their natural habitats, particularly when interacting with domestic animals.
