State Police Free 17 Migrants Held Captive in Juarez
In a significant operation on December 20, officers from the Ministry of Public Security of the State (SSPE) rescued 17 migrants who were being held against their will in a Juarez home. The rescue was prompted by an anonymous 911 call reporting the abduction of two individuals, which led to police intervention. Upon arrival at the location on Ignacio Manuel Altamirano Street, officers heard cries for help and discovered the migrants locked inside, deprived of food and freedom. The operation resulted in the arrest of six suspects, and authorities also uncovered evidence linking the site to a recent homicide case. Among those rescued, eleven were Mexican nationals and six were from other countries.
