Mexican Citizens Abroad to Gain Representation in Congress

Approximately 11 million Mexicans residing in the United States are set to elect their own congressional representatives, addressing a long-standing issue of political representation for expatriates. These citizens, who contribute to the economy through taxes but lack access to government healthcare and Social Security benefits, will have a voice in legislative matters that affect them. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between the Mexican government and its citizens living abroad, ensuring their interests are represented in Congress.
