A powerful earthquake measuring 7.5 struck near the northern coast of Venezuela on Wednesday, as reported by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Initially, the quake was recorded at a magnitude of 7.1. The US Tsunami Warning Centers have indicated that dangerous tsunami waves could affect areas within 300 kilometers of the epicenter, including Bonaire, Curaçao, Aruba, and pose a threat to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
